The Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on Activity of the Standing Representation of the EBRD in Ukraine was signed on 12 June 2007 in London.
The Agreement grants privileges for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, its managers and personnel; inviolability of bank premises, and protection of the Standing representation of the EBRD at the level of any diplomatic mission.
Pursuant to the Agreement, the Bank, its assets, property, income, activity and treaties are exempt from direct taxes, which complies with Article 53 of the Agreement Establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Paris, 29 May 1990) that was signed by Ukraine on 14.07.1992. The Agreement defines cases when bank can be exempt from the value added tax.
A relevant Bill (Reg. No. 0036) was registered in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
